The Espeon grinned. "Age is just a number, really. I'm not even sure when I stopped counting..." she smiled again, taking some of the bedding from her friend's hands. "But I'll bet you Umbreon knows!"
She hadn't really paid much attention to the room until they got there; and then she realized how empty it seemed.
"Team... Volcano, right?" She'd heard the new name mentioned somewhere, but couldn't put her paw on where. "We'll have to take extra caution. By the sounds of their name, there's probably a fire type or two in here..." She said, some of the smallest leaves creating a slightly displeasing taste in her mouth.
Lifting a paw to her mouth, Sun removed the bedding and picked flecks from her teeth.
"Remind me to make sure we keep a bucket of water nearby at all times. Just incase something lights up...."

Flaaffy smiled, taking a bit of the bedding. "Well, there is one Vulpix on the team, but she's very timid. I'll doubt she'll be starting any fires. But their both so cute and young, especially the Trapinch with her. He reminds me of us when we were apprentices? Remember? When you and Umbreon were Evees? And I was just a little Mareep?"
He put some bedding across the room in a small pile. "You never know, though. I guess it would be good to have some water around. After all, we're in a tree."

"Oh, all right, good. Maybe she'll keep the rest of them from pulling any stunts..." Espeon winked at her friend. "I think they'll do well, as long as they don't get stuck against water types." Team analysis. I'm taking Flaaffy's job. Espeon thought to herself with a chuckle.
The psychic pokemon nodded. "Yes, yes I do. I remember always having to wear that little necklace so that the pokemon who didn't know us as well wouldn't get us mixed up... I'll bet you anything I still have that somewhere."
As soon as she said it, Espeon realized where it was: protected by the soft padding of her bed, right below where she slept. It had been there so long she'd forgotten it was still there, but not having it nearby just didn't make her feel... complete.
"'Tis true, 'tis true." Espeon liked when Flaaffy complimented her, so now her whole aura appeared to be a bright joyous one that would probably be yellow-ish in color. "You can never do too much to help out Mother Nature."

Flaaffy's cheeks spewed sparks at the happy memory. He chuckled. "Oh, yes, of course I remember the necklaces. Umbreon hated hers so much. She was so relieved when she got to evolve!"
"Of course, I don't see why," he said condesendingly. "You two wanted me to evolve too, and it wasn't even that great! I had to swim to the middle of some grody pond, just to have my lush blonde fur turn white." he shuddered. "What we did back then." He said, spreading more bedding.

Espeon grinned. "I remember that Umbreon always tried to take it off, and said:" Sun tried to imitate her sibling's voice- "If you're wearing a necklace, shouldn't they be able to tell that you're you and I'm not?" She was still smiling.
Sun burst into hilarity. "With the eevees it was sort of a 'right-of-way' thing. Unlike most other pokemon, we didn't know exactly what we were going to evolve into, y'know? It was almost a ritual to see your true self, in a way... that's how our family treated it!"
Flaaffy was still sulking about the memory. "Grody pond... you neat freak." She smiled, and her tail swayed joyfully. "We wanted you to evolve so you would be too big for us to carry the whole trip!"
She'd said that last bit because she knew it would've been true.

Flaaffy smiled. "She said it was like a collar, for a Snubbull. 'And I'm no Snubbull.'" he said, falling short of any worthy imitation of Umbreon's voice.
He shook his head. "Oh, you're too regal about it, Sun. Everyone knew you would do anything to read minds. And-and, be purple! You eevees are so lucky, you can pick out your gifts and abilities like...like magic!"
Flaaffy pouted, if only to keep away a smile. "Well-" he stopped, flustered. He honestly couldn't think of anything to say to counter that.
OOC: Remniscing is so fun! If only Keito would get on, we need to stop the gender confusion once and for all!

((I'll e-mail her and bother her to no extent. XD Hopefully I can get her to pick one...))
Espeon grinned. "I guess we both need to work on our imitations, don't we?"
Flaaffy basically just broke her down in a nutshell. It is really amazing how well he knows me... But she did nod at the mention of mind-reading. She had been fascinated by it as a little one.
"Being purple was the best part." She said with a cheesy expression. She couldn't really defend the "you eevees are so lucky!" bit, so she just nodded. "But... you have to make the right choice with it, y'know? One more thing to stress your parents out."
The cheeks of her partner seemed to flush a little red, and Sun knew at the moment when he paused that she had won. " I rold you! I so told you!" She laughed back at him. "But I probably wouldn't have minded, but you know Umbreon..."

Flaaffy laughed. "Yes, I supppose."
"Ah, yes, you were always the 'purple' type. And mind reading, Well, you know everyone here already thought you were a psychic before you evolved! You always were talking about-what was it-auras? With all the colors?"
Flaaffy wrinkled his brow. "From what I've seen of the Eevee evolutions, there were no bad choices for the parents to worry for! You and Umbreon are both strong evolutions, and Kaylie, what did you call her, a Glaceon? Well, she's nothing to be ashamed of either."
"And then, that Kiyo. I saw him around here. His new form looks very agile, and I can tell that he's an electirc type."
He stepped back, putting the last bit of straw onto the beds. "Hmm. Looks like we're done here. What do you think, Sun?"

"Yes, the 'thing with the colors-'" Sun rolled her eyes, thinking: Doesn't he know ANYTHING about psychic types?"IS aura. It's basically a little look into the personality of any creature, but it also shows mood. Unless you're really good, it's sometimes hard to sort out which is which."
Sun shrugged, taking into consideration what her Head of Intelligence had said. "True, so true. Having options is wonderful..." The espeon poked a stary leaf on the bed she was standing beside back into place. "But what I was referring to was making the wrong choice. One that just... doesn't quite fit, like finding a Gyrados in a ground and electric-type dungeon, y'know?" It was the best analogy she had on hand. It wasn't like any snake pokemon- you couldn't jsut shed your skin when you decided to. No, eevees would be stuck with their choice for life.
"Krystal, you mean?" Espeon asked, her tail flicking up nervously. She always liked to check out new guild members, and if there was someone named Kaylie it was obviously someone she hadn't met. "My cousin, yes, she's a Glaceon. And that's Kiyo for you."
"I think-" Sun paused, then hopped up on a side table, nearly knocking over a lamp. She caught it with her tail, and shuffled around a bit of straw in back with her nose. "There. Fixed the thin spot."
She hopped down, then fixed the lamp. Gosh, hope I didn't damage it!
"Agreed," Followed by a simple nod.
